Climate and seasons
|
LAKE GENEVA REGION offers all its residents a nice and temperate climate. The seasons that do not know extremes favour numerous activities. From skiing in eternal snow to water-skiing on a lake, through rambles or wilder activities, the choice is manifold and life is pleasant! LAKE GENEVA REGION alone is a digest of all the Swiss landscapes. In the vicinity of lakes, at the foot of the Jura and on the plateau the climate remains pleasant. Although it may be rougher in the Jura and in the mountains, the sun still prevails. In January the average temperatures are of three degrees on the lake shores and at the foot of the Jura, and of 1 degree in the Alps, and in the Jura. In July the temperature is about 24 degrees in the first zone, and 20 in the second. One may note that important differences in temperature exist between high mountainous regions and those in the plains. |
