In August 2008, all of the Lemanic region will have the opportunity to benefit from the international impact of the Peking O.G. via a partnership with the City of Lausanne, Lausanne tourism and the International Olympic Committee.

This partnership gives the ensemble of the region, under the label "LAKE GENEVA REGION", a large-scale media spotlight.

In the context of this association, western Switzerland shows itself as a dynamic region, enterprising and decisively oriented toward the future which will considerably reinforce the image of the Lemanic area’s economic and touristic place in the world.
